Xstrata's Ulan and West Wallsend Collieries take possession of SUPAVAC units November 2009
Xstrata’s Ulan and West Wallsend Collieries take possession of new SMS366 units along with SV60 Solids Pumps. This is the third SMS system for Ulan and the first for Xstrata’s West Wallsend operations, the units are employed in both Longwall face dewatering applications along with slurry reclamation. .

 

Third SMS for Peabody Energy's Metropolitan Colliery July 2009
Stephen Grimston, Metro's Gas Drainage Coordinator says he would recommend the Supavac SMS System to any perspective colliery user. The initial two units are working well seperating fines from the UG drilling sites. The third SMS will be specially built for a dewatering project in the drift.

Xstrata's Thamoor Coal acquires another Supavac Feb 2009

Thamoor colliery has taken delivery of an SV250-V400 which will be used to remove slurry build up from various locations around the pit. The SV250-V was chosen as a result of the performance of the SV110 and SV60's the pit currently operates.

Several hundred cubic metres of slimes are transferred regularly via the SV250-V unit acquired by Barrick Gold. After a very successful trial the unit replaced an expensive vac truck operation which has seen the downtime and cost significantly reduced.

SMS for Mt Arthur and Grasstrees Mines APRIL 2008

Mount Arthur Coal took delivery of the compact SMS-197 in early April for a dewatering project in their drift. The 197 unit was chosen as it was both compact and 100% air operated.

Anglo Coal's Grasstrees operation has ordered both an SMS-280 (Air Powered) and a Supavac SV110-V solids pump for delivery in May. The unit's will be used on a raised bore project to remove and dewater the large volume of slurry produced during the operation.

SMS-366 deliverd to Xstrata's Ulan mine FEBRUARY 2008 Supavac delivered the first of what is expected to be four new SMS dewatering units to the Ulan mine. The SMS is capable of dewatering 30,000 litres per hour with the ability to return the dewatered coal slurry directly back to the belt. A second unit is with Allied at BHP's Port Kembla operation with yet another being delivered to both Mt Aurther Coal and Grasstrees mines in March.

Mandalong takes the the new SV-MSD Dusters: NOVEMBER 2007 Delivery of the first batch of MSD Stonedusters are on route to Mandalong Colliery, the decision to purchase Supavac units was based on two main points, they are well made and more economical than any other unit on the market.

SV110's ready for shipping: SEPTEMBER 2007

Three new SV110 units are about to enter service with two heading overseas to South Africa for a tailings dam project with the third heading to WA and a Barrick Gold operation.

NEW MSD Stonedusters depart: AUGUST 2007

10 of the new MSD Stonedusters departed for service in the Hunter Valley earlier this month, this is Wambo mines second batch after taking delivery of an initial 6 in February.

Slurry Management System trial 100% success: JULY 2007

Recent trials of the new SMS system were rated a 100% succesful by all those who reviewed the unit's performance and throughput statistics. Three of the first four units to come online by the end of August are already slotted for Hunter Valley underground operations.

Supavac and Coates Hire: JUNE 2007

Coates hire are set to take another 32 of the SV60 and 60-V's slurry units with several of those destined for the UK market. The order will see Coates fleet of units numbering well over a 75 in just 18 months. After the recent consolidation of business units within Coates group, Supavac units are now available right across the more than 205 Coates outlets simply by calling 131552 across the country.

Supavac staff recently donated $3,000.00 JUNE 2007 to the 92.7 Mix FM's Give Me 5 For Kids appeal, where 100% of money raised is directed to the Nambor Hospital Childrens Ward.

Supavac welcomes back John McNamara: MAY 2007

John has taken up the position of International Business Development manager with Supavac and brings some 35+ years of mining expeience covering a wide range of stautory positions. John's role will see him undertake extensive travel liasing closely with Coates in the rapidly expanding Indonesian coal industry, Supavac in Chile and Canada, Procon in South Africa along with trade shows in China and Peru later this year.

Hunter region office opens: MAY 2007

Supavac commenced operations from it's newly opened Morisset office in mid May. The premises allow Supavac to better support the increased demand for equipment currently being experienced, and will be the base for the release of the new Slurry Management System in August. The facility also carries a full range of spare parts, support and rental equipment along with both on and off site service and contracting capabilities.

Supavac purchases Inbye Pumping Services: APRIL 2007

Supavac recently acquired Hunter region specialist contractor Inbye Pumping Services along with staff, equipment and all current contracts. Drew Garnett has taken up a position as Domestic business Development manager whilst the business unit itself has been placed within the Supavac Services operation which now offers some 50 different pieces of equipment for hire, lease or contracting.

300th Guzzla off to work: MARCH 2007

The 300th Guzzla was assembled, tested and shipped from Supavac's Qld operation on May the 29th, the SV60-V now in service was one of three shipped to BrandtNOV's UK operation.
